How to get your kids to wear shoelaces correctly

Learning to tie their own shoelaces is an important step for any child. But obviously, it is a process that takes time and not all children learn at the same time. Some are quicker to absorb this information while others need a little more time, either because they are less skilled with their fingers or because they do not pay due attention.

In many schools, they do not allow children to wear shoes that have to be tied because the teachers cannot keep an eye on all the little ones and tie the laces when they come undone. And if they are with them loose, it is easy for them to step on them and fall. But maybe you have a lot of shoes inherited from siblings or cousins that you don’t want to miss out on, or you simply like to choose based on what catches your eye and not the way it’s closed.

So that your child can put on lace-up shoes without him having to fasten them, there are several systems that can work. One of them is the spiral cords – LIAFLEX. It is a fun system in which the laces are looped and twisted around each other without the need to tie. The child can do it alone in the morning and given the characteristics of these laces, they will not unscrew throughout the day, so it will not be necessary to be aware of these shoes.

But this original system is not the only one we have to avoid tying the laces. We also find rubber systems. These are rubber strips of different lengths that are placed between the eyelets of the shoes. Each rubber joins two opposing eyelets and thanks to their finishes, they do not come loose. Therefore, it is not necessary to tie the shoes and it is even possible to put them on and take them off without having to disassemble the rubber bands since they give slightly.

Both systems are practical and fun and offer many color possibilities so that the little ones feel comfortable with their different laces. They can be in a single tone or they can be multicolored and this is liked by the little ones. But not only them, since many of those who buy these systems for sneakers are adults who do not want to be aware of their laces or who want to give their sneakers a fun and original touch.
